Who are we?
South Jersey Rowing Club is a non-profit, parent sponsored organization established to promote the sport of competitive rowing for all young men and women.
Founded in 2002, SJRC is committed to the personal, athletic, ethical and academic excellence of each rower as an individual and as a member of a competitive rowing team.
The SJRC Board of Directors handles the routine operation of the club and makes decisions that shape the future of SJRC. Individual board members may oversee different aspects of the club. Board member names, contact information, and responsibilities are posted in the Comittees section.
SJRC is an IRS Section 501( c ) (3) organization and donations may be tax deductible.
Parent Volunteers
SJRC is a group of people working together to make rowing accessible, affordable and fun. We exist due to the wealth of talent and energy of our rowers and parents.
In order to keep our club operating we need your help throughout the season.
Whether it is a work party for house and grounds cleanup, coxing, ergometer maintenance, fundraising or special events, it is the responsibility of every member to contribute to the enrichment of our organization both on and off the water. Don’t worry about not knowing what to do, we’ll teach you! Volunteer and service opportunities are posted regularly throughout the season
Organization and Funding
All funding comes from member dues, individual and group fundraising, as well as private and corporate donations. Money is used primarily for coaching, equipment, and regatta fees. The William and Sarah Cooper Cup Regatta at the end of April is our primary fundraiser.
